Social Meteor was founded by Ben Hardy in 2017, after moving on from his Head of Digital role at Made In ThePile, with a dream to create a solely-focused social media specialty agency - the likes of which Perth hadn’t seen before.
Soon after its inception, Luke Whelan jumped on the SocialMeteor bandwagon. Childhood friends and roommates at the time, the partnership was a no-brainer. Luke, a founder and former director of Pilerats/Made In The Pile, was ready for his next (ad)venture while simultaneously working on an Instagram movement that had taken WA by storm called “Perth Is OK!”.
Ben & Luke finessed their offering over several years, through the headwinds of COVID-19 and have ‘found their space’ in the past two years resulting in exceptional business growth. The team has grown from two directors to a full-time workforce of 11 Perth-based digital specialists.
